Chemjoy Secures Patent for Innovative Glufosinate Analysis Method

Beijing, February 23rd, 2024 –  In a groundbreaking development, Chemjoy Co., Ltd. has been granted a patent for their novel method of analyzing glufosinate, a widely used herbicide.

Glufosinate, (CAS No.: 51276-47-2) also known as 2-amino-4-[hydroxy(methyl)phosphoryl]butanoic acid, is a potent herbicide with broad-spectrum weed control properties. It is commonly used in agriculture to combat unwanted plant growth in crops such as rice, corn, cotton, and soybeans. However, precise analysis of glufosinate remains a critical challenge for researchers and regulatory bodies. As glufosinate continues to play a vital role in modern agriculture, this patent underscores the importance of innovation in fine chemicals research.

Ms. Zhang, head of Chemjoy’s QA department and one of the inventors behind this method, expressed her excitement about the potential impact of new patent. “We worked tirelessly to develop this method and spent countless hours to optimize its accuracy, I believe it adds a crucial building block for regulatory approvals and safety assessments of glufosinate.”

The patent (CN 115267018 B), is yet another demonstration of Chemjoy’s R&D prowess in the field of fine chemicals, especially agrochemicals.
